Will Blunderfield - Singer, Songwriter and Yoga Instructor

Will Blunderfield is a Canadian Kirtan, pop, and devotional singer/songwriter and yoga instructor. His music is influenced by his roots in New York City's musical theatre scene and by traditional Indian music, which he first became familiar with at the age of 18.

He was born on the 18th July 1985 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and named Mark William Kent Blunderfield. He is a grandson of Donald Edward Blunderfield (B0218).

Will Blunderfield began taking piano lessons at an early age. At ten, he sang with the BC Boys Choir at venues across Canada. At fourteen, he was a winner of the North Shore Song Search and for the next three years was the youngest artist to showcase at 'New Music West'. By seventeen, he had moved to New York City to pursue his career in theatre at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy (AMDA) and became a member of the Actors Equity Association. Will has performed in numerous musicals and original shows including Vampire Lesbians of Sodom (New York), Brokeback Mountain the musical, as well as performances at Vancouver’s hottest restaurants, clubs, and events.

He performs and teaches around the world at workshops, retreats and conferences. In late 2010, the Vancouver based Nettwerk Music Group signed Will Blunderfield to the label's yoga-inspired Nutone Music division alongside Donna De Lory, Wade Imre Morissette and Krishna Das.

He was the headlining performer at Yogathon 2010, an event that raises funds for children impacted by HIV/AIDS and is expected to headline at the Voices of Hope World AIDS Day Concert, an event sponsored by the MAC AIDS Fund and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The event is part of an international concert series benefitting the Dr. Peter AIDS foundation.
