|WW 1 Medal Card
This card shows that Edward was awarded (posthumously) the Victory, British and 1915 Star Medals. It also shows that he arrived in the Balkans just two days before he was killed - as were two of his brothers.
|Allied Victory Medal
This medal was awarded to all those who served, on the establishment of a unit in a theatre of war. A member Mentioned In Despatches for service during World War I wears a bronze oak leaf on the ribbon.
|British War Medal
This silver plated medal was awarded to those who entered a theatre of war on duty, or who left places of residence and rendered approved overseas service between 5 Aug 1914 and 11 Nov 1918.
Awarded for service on the establishment of a ship or unit in a theatre of war. A combination of the 1914-15 Star, the British War Medal and Victory Medal is often called a "trio", or "Pip, Squeak and Wilfred".
