Macmillan, reported to the Kal goorlie Roads District Local Board of Health, last night, that during the past month there, had been many hundred cases of influenza within the board's district. From his own observation, and from enquiries from his medical conferees, he was of opinion that the epidemic had greatly abated, and one might confidently look forward to the cessation of the disease in the near future.

Southern Cross, Sept. 12. The ninth death from influenza in a fortnight, in Southern Cross, occurred late yesterday afternoon, when Mrs. Nellie Blunderfield died at her home. She is the first. female victim to the disease. Arrangements are being made for the school to remain closed for another week, so that the epidemic may be stamped out, if possible.
