On the 3rd of December 1949, James, his wife Jean and their two children Barrie and Beverley, left Tritton Road in Dulwich the Port of London, to board the P&O Streamship 'Ranchi' and emigrate to Australia. Having left  the cold of an English December, they arrived in Sydney around Christmas time and in the heat of an Australian Summer. On the ship's manifest, James gave his occupation as Farming. The 1954 Electoral Register, showed them living in Lane Cove, Bennelong, New South Wales (a suburb of Sydney). However, they left  Sydney in October 1954,  on board the P&O Steamship 'Strathmore',  to return to England. They arrived in the Port of London on the 11th of November 1954. On this manifest, James gave his occupation as a Salesman.

Jean Ethel BLUNDERFIELD [Parents] 1-B0399 was born 2 on 12 Oct 1921 in Lambeth, London. She died 3, 4 on 12 Dec 2001 in Arthur Rank House, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. Jean married 5, 6 James Jesse MERIDEW-M0324 on 12 Jun 1943 in Emmanuel Church, Dulwich, London.

The information that Benjamin was the son of Francis Blundeville (later know as Blunderfield), came from Jean Bellamy in 1991. There is no record of a baptism for him at Heckingham.As Francis's first wife Rachel died in 1705 in Suffolk, it is clear that Francis moved to Heckingham at some point between 1705 and 1718 (when Frances was baptised). Perhaps when I find the marriage for Francis and Mary, the details about Benjamin will become known.
