In the GRO Indexes, there are just two Margaret Seddons registered in the Oct-Nov-Dec quarter of 1866, both are in Lancashire, one in Bolton and the other in Ormskirk. Further information is needed (such as the parents names) to determine which of these is correct.

After Frederick's death in 1937, Margaret lived with Harry (Henry) and with Mayme (Mary Ann).

Henry served in the Canadian Armed Forces during WW1. He signed up, in Winnipeg, on the 9th March 1916 to join the Canadian Expeditionary Force. On the attestation papers, there is no record of a middle initial and his date of birth is recorded as 7 May 1897. He signed as Harry.

As a member of the 200th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, Private Harry Blunderfield (922082) left Halifax, Nova Scotia on the 3 May 1917 aboard the S.S. Megantic.

He survived the war and is listed as Private Harry Blunderfield of the 27th (City of Winnipeg Battallion) Manitoba Regmt. in the passenger manifest of the troop ship 'Northland' returning from Liverpool to Halifax, Nova Scotia - arriving on the 22 May 1919.

He appears again in the manifest of passengers entering the USA at the Port of Detroit on the 24 May 1923, from Canada. His age is recorded as 24, he is single, his occupation was Order Clerk.

The US Naturalization Records Index cards show a Harry Blunderfield, born 7 May 1897, applying/or being granted US Citizenship on the 17 Sep 1923.

He must have returned to Canada, as he ran the Blunderfield farm in Calgary, Alberta after his father retired.
