St. John Daily Sun on September 6, 1898 concerning the family bible.
"An Old Family Bible. Stamford, Conn., Aug. 10, 1898"
Mrs. Billard, the daughter of the late Rev. Edward Oldrin, who lives on Bank street in this city, owns, probably, the oldest Bible in existence in the state. The Bible came into her possession by inheritance from her father, who was pastor of the Methodist church here, when the Hoyt brothers, two of them, Oliver and William, famous as millionaire leather merchants in the "Swamp," New York, became members of that church. The book is in the original binding and well preserved, the Old Testament part having been printed in 1591 and the New Testament In 1596. The covers are of wood, and the book is the size of the family Bible seen in the house of almost every New England family. Inscribed on the yellow flyleaf are the words: 'Edward Oulldron own this book, and after his death to his son Edward Oulldron, given by his grandmother - 1651.' Later on it appears that the spelling of the family surname had been changed, for below the name 'John Oldrin' is the inscription: 'Edward Oldrin's book, given by his father on his deathbed July 23 1827, to be kept in the family.' "

Phebe Ann Elizabeth OLDRIN-O0503 was born about 1847 in Plattekill, Ulster, New York, USA. She died on 26 Jun 1921 in Kings County (Brooklyn), New York, USA. She was buried on 29 Jun 1921 in Woodland Cemetery, Stamford, Connecticut, USA.

Phebe Ann Elizabeth never married and was named as an executor to her mother's estate in 1887, along with her maternal uncle Charles W. Freyenhagen, a case which dragged out until 1897 because they needed to sell Catharine's Brooklyn real estate to pay off her debts, mainly from medical doctors and the undertaker.

In 1900, 1905, 1910  Phebe Ann Elizabeth was living with sister Sarah Helen Eudora Bachelder and her husband George Howard Bachelder and their daughter Lilian. By 1920, sister Catharine Kelsey had joined Phebe Ann Elizabeth Oldrin in the Bachelders' Brooklyn household.

When she died in Brooklyn in 1921 she was evidently living alone because the informant for her death certificate did not know much about her, listing her only as "Elizabeth Oldrin," 75 years old, of unknown birthdate, and born in England which was very dubious since she appears as a native of New York state in the censuses.
